Another popular crease cowboys like shaped on their cowboy hats is called the "Bull Rider" crease.
The "Bull Rider" crease was known back in the 1970's as the "RCA"(Rodeo Cowboy Association) Crease.
The RCA crease resulted from a crease called the "Canadian" crease.
The Canadian crease had a high square crown on the cowboy hat.
Bullriders like their crowns shorter than what the "Canadian" crease had so therefore went with a wider crease on the cowboy hat which made the crown shorter.
Freckles Brown, Jim Shoulders, and Larry Mahan were some of the most famous bull riders who wore the "Bull Rider" crease on their cowboy hats.
